Chinese tourism, the world’s largest.
Chinese issuing tourism has become the largest in the world. China is the first country in terms of travel and expenses.
Chinese tourism is venturing further thanks to the increasing flexibility in international travel requirements (such as visas)*, interest in getting out of their comfort zones and increasing their income.
Using the results of a survey conducted by McKinsey&Company of more than 2,000 Chinese tourists, we can see that:
In 2015, Chinese tourists made 4 billion domestic trips and 117 million international trips.
In 2017, Chinese tourists made approximately 131 million trips worldwide.
Travel outside its borders is expected to reach 160 million by 2020.
More than 70% of Chinese tourists travel with family and friends, and make the largest travel expenses globally.
In addition to the increase in travel outside Chinese borders, spending on these trips is also expected to grow by more than 5.4%. Reaching more than $315 billion a year by 2020.
*Desde principios 2018, 66 países y regiones han rebajado sus restricciones en cuanto a las visas haciendo para los turistas chinos que sea más fácil viajar.
